In the archive, fish-people and goose-people are the main inhabitants of this system: fish-people are selected, bred, and compressed into the canned community, while both fish-people and goose-people are drawn into factory production, care duties, belief, and regulation. As the investigation unfolds, the Garden of Life reveals itself as a social theater, reflecting structural issues of power, discipline, and oppression in contemporary society.
