Forest art healing workshop

2025

The Forest Healing Workshop is a ritual-based eco-art practice held in forests on the edge of the city, beginning with simple embodied exercises such as meditation, walking, touching, and listening. Participants then explore the idea of balance by creating small installations and spiritual objects using natural materials combined with clay, string, and selected man-made elements. The process focuses on bodily memory, identity, and the reciprocal relationship between humans and their surrounding environment.

Workshop process: Meditation and Sensory Awakening

The workshop begins with a short guided meditation that brings attention to the breath, body, and surrounding sounds. Participants then engage in slow walking and gentle listening to open their senses and enter a focused, calm state.

Material Collection

Participants move through the site to collect natural materials that resonate with them physically or emotionally, such as fallen branches, stones, or leaves. The selection is guided by intuition rather than visual preference.

Identity Reshaping

Using clay combined with the collected materials, participants shape an external form that represents their current sense of identity. This process translates inner sensations into tangible form through touch and material resistance.

Part Two: Balance Experiment

Participants assemble different materials into a small structure that feels stable and supportive. The structure is imagined as a home or new order for the newly formed identity, exploring balance between instability and support.

The workshop concludes with a group sharing, where participants reflect on their creations and their experiences of nature in the city or at its edges. The forest becomes an inner anchor that can be carried beyond the workshop itself.
